South Carolina Trooper Brutalizes Female Speeding Suspect:
Videotaped on January 8, 1996, in South Carolina, after State Trooper Lance Corporal W.H. Beckwith pulls over driver, Sandra Antor, for speeding. Claiming that her car didn’t stop for several minutes after he lit his siren, the officer approaches the car with his gun drawn and aimed, all while angrily screaming orders at the woman. When Beckham finally reaches the driver’s door, he tears it open, and begins to violently and repeatedly yank Antor’s arm, in an effort to pull her out of the car, and onto the road.
Beckwith was suspended February 1, 1996 and fired on February 22, 1996.
